Electrical Systems Architect

Description:

Overview

Electrical Systems Architect role focusing on all aspects of electronic design for new products and design modifications to existing products, including researching, architecting, designing, integrating, and testing electrical components, circuit board assemblies, equipment, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and digital circuitry for biopotential sensing, signal conditioning, data acquisition, digital signal processing and RF data transmission systems for mobile cardiac monitoring and telemetry equipment
  • Create and document architectural design of electronic systems based on requirements specifications
  • Perform circuit design, component selection, schematic capture, power load budgeting, bill of materials costing, and electrical circuit simulation of high-speed printed circuit board assemblies and cable harnesses

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electronics design in an FDA regulated environment
  • Strong analog and digital hardware design experience of embedded systems
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a minimum 3+ years of experience with a Master's in areas such as System Architecture, System Design, Hardware Engineering or equivalent OR 9+ years of relevant experience in place of a bachelor's degree
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • Experience using test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, communication protocol analyzers, and signal generators

How We Work Together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations. This is an office-based role.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is $140,000 to $223,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Other compensation such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to San Diego, CA.
