The Opportunity

As a systems security and network security engineer, you will identify tools, applications, and systems to assess vulnerabilities and recommend security strategies. Your experience will develop and implement security solutions that safeguard our military.

You'll tackle complex challenges, research and develop security solutions, and support critical Navy missions by championing cybersecurity and discovering cyber risks.

What You'll Work On

  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating complex security concepts to senior management.
  • Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including detection, vulnerability capabilities, and event correlation for large enterprises.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas; leverage analytics to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have

  • 4+ years supporting IT systems for a DoD or government agency.
  • 4+ years supporting Navy RMF, including A&A activities and RMF artifact development.
  • 4+ years performing cybersecurity compliance testing using ACAS, STIG, and Evaluate-STIG.
  • Experience performing vulnerability analysis of networks, systems, and protocols.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, cloud, or virtualization platforms.
  • Experience with eMASS, developing security plans and processing packages.
  • Ability to devise and execute deliverables, identify problems, and lead tasks from inception to completion.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree; DoD 8140 Certification.

Nice If You Have

  • Experience with engineering for Tactical Networks, PAS, AI, and ACS.
  • Experience deploying, implementing, and integrating cybersecurity tools.
  • Experience with network engineering functions and security tools.
  • Experience as a Navy Qualified Validator.
  • Top Secret clearance, Master's degree, OS certification.

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

Projected salary range: $61,900 to $141,000 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, retirement, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.

Work Model

  • If listed as remote or hybrid, you'll work from a Booz Allen or client site facility as needed.
  • If listed as onsite, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person as required.
