Overview

Radar Senior Principal Systems Engineer — Active Secret Clearance required.

Rate range: $75.00 / hr - $130.90 / hr W2

Duration: 12-month contract or contract to hire

Location: Huntsville, Alabama; San Diego, CA; or Woburn, MA

No C2C, we cannot work with outside agencies / vendors, and we cannot do 1099-US.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation.
• Present plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers.
• Provide subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.
• You will be completing the above responsibilities in one or more capability areas including:
  • Electronic Protection, signal processing, applied mathematics
  • Hypersonic threat defense
  • Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces
  • Radar calibration, diagnostics, deployed site support
  • Modeling and simulation of tactical software

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of 6 years of Software Engineering experience
• Experience providing expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems
• Experience in system performance analysis, algorithm development, modeling & simulation, or support to fielded systems

Desired Skills

• Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues using strong analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and / or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
• Experience with radar system concepts; detection, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
• Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
• Experience working with Matlab, C / C++, Java or DOORS
• Experience in using AI / ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
• Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools
• Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques
• Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
• Previous military service
