Senior Research Associate – In Vivo Oncology

Location: San Diego, CA – Onsite

Role: 12‑month contract, W2 employee through Stage 4 Solutions. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, standard work hours. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Compensation

$45/hr – $48.95/hr

Responsibilities

• Independently and efficiently perform routine animal experimental procedures, including but not limited to gavage, subcutaneous/intraperitoneal/intravenous injections, blood collection, surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, dissection, and tissue sample collection.
• Strictly follow the SOPs for in vivo pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetic studies, and disease model development.
• Accurately and promptly record experimental data and perform preliminary analysis.
• Assist senior researchers in conducting complex experiments and participate in the optimization and development of some experimental methods.
• Observe animal ethics and welfare standards, ensuring that all experimental activities comply with international and domestic standards such as AAALAC and GLP.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with in vivo tumor models, including tumor volume measurement, drug dosing via various routes, injection, blood and tissue collection and processing. Experience with tumor imaging techniques is valued.
• Experience with cell culture, isolation of primary cell populations and performing cellular assays.
• Experience with in vitro techniques such as Mesoscale, Nanostring, IHC, Western Blot, ELISA, MSD, immunohistochemistry, and qPCR is preferred.
• Data analysis skills and experience with a variety of software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and GraphPad Prism are required.
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or Molecular Biology.
• Candidates with a background in Cancer Biology are preferred.
