POSITION: Senior Research Associate, Translational Research, Oncology (non-PhD)

PREREQUISITES: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with at least 3 years work experience
Summary/Scope:
This Senior Research Associate /Senior Associate Scientist will join the Translational Development team in Oncogenesis Thematic Research Center (TRC) located in San Diego, California. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of molecular cell biology, immunology, and oncology, with strong expertise in cell-based assay development and biomarker discovery.
The incumbent will be responsible for addressing questions of drug scheduling, supporting patient selection hypothesis, and developing clinical assays using current techniques and primarily in vitro and ex vivo methods; and is responsible for experiment design, execution, and data analysis and report for well-defined projects. The position will require handling and compound treatment of human tissues including whole blood, PBMC, bone marrow aspirates, tumor cell lines, and primary tumors. The incumbent will be expected to maintain an electronic lab notebook and organize results into reports or presentations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, writing and record keeping, and presentation skills. The successful candidate will have a proven technical and scientific track record and experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

While the final, individual compensation will be determined by your employer of record (and not Client), factors that will be included in making the final determination may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location where the job is performed. The starting hourly compensation may be subject to change.
