Note: This role could be based in the client's Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle Office. The candidate must have done electrical engineering work in the state of CA.

What Would You Be Doing?

As a key part of the team, your responsibilities will include:

1. Work closely with clients, architects, and other engineers as part of a dedicated team.
2. Produce coordinated detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, and site observation reports on various projects within the electrical discipline.
3. Organize technical and financial proposals for new work.
4. Manage the workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians.
5. Take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detail design.
6. Prepare Technical Specifications.
7. Monitor financial performance of jobs.
8. Keep senior staff informed of important service/design decisions.
9. Mentor junior Electrical Engineers.
10. Ensure practices and policies represent the client's best interests and comply with current legislation and building codes.
11. Plan, organize, and manage personal workload to meet deadlines.
12. Proactively raise concerns regarding workload and deadlines.
13. Maintain an overview of the project team's workload to successfully meet deadlines.
14. Contribute towards delivering profitable projects.

What Are We Looking For?

Qualifications include:

1. 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience in the building services and construction industry.
2. Experience in sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and/or Stadiums is preferred.
3. Relevant bachelor or master's degree.
4. Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation is desirable.
5. LEED AP accreditation preferred.
6. Experience using Revit.
7. Familiarity with computational analysis tools for electrical fault analysis and lighting design.
8. Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization.
9. Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems.
10. Strong client-facing and communication skills (verbal and written).
11. Experience in preparing technical reports for clients.
12. Ability to problem-solve and propose multiple solutions to clients.
