Description

We are seeking a Validation Engineer to join our silicon design team responsible for creating state-of-the-art ASICs. The primary focus of this role is to perform power hardware validation and analyze typical SoC workloads. Your analysis will drive power optimization efforts to achieve top-tier power/performance balance.

Responsibilities

• Measure silicon power dissipation of workloads such as video streaming and recording, analyze data, and compare with simulation results.
• Collaborate closely with design, architecture, systems, and software teams, requiring strong communication skills.
• Perform silicon power measurements and correlate with simulations.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate use-case power measurements.
• Enhance energy efficiency by tuning hardware and software settings.
• Improve power measurement infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong programming skills, especially in C/Assembly, and understanding of low-power digital design and power fundamentals.
• Experience with lab equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of CMOS dynamic and static power calculations.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.

At Apple, compensation includes base pay, which ranges from $171,600 to $302,200, depending on skills and experience.
