Our Hardware Platforms and Accessories Team is seeking a Digital/Embedded Hardware Engineer responsible for creating, testing, integrating, and maintaining hardware designs for tactical radios.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system and module level requirements and specifications.
  • Design and simulate digital circuits and systems, including associated analog and power circuits.
  • Create required design documentation.
  • Verify and validate product performance through debugging, testing, and analysis at the component, module, and system level.
  • Lead small project teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Develop relationships with team members built on trust and respect.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in designing products with significant digital hardware content.
  • Good understanding of microprocessors, microcontrollers, SOCs, programmable logic, and memory.
  • Working knowledge of associated analog and power hardware such as audio/video and SMPS circuits.
  • Knowledge of high-speed buses such as LPDDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of low-speed peripheral buses such as SPI, I2C, SMBus.
  • Proficiency in software tools of the trade: schematic capture, PCB layout, digital timing simulators, signal integrity simulators.
  • Experience designing for manufacturability and test.
  • Strong documentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills.

The posted pay range for this position is $115,000–185,000, annually, for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area.
