Job Summary

The Production Scheduler is responsible for managing and supporting all production related activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Dispatch to generate and distribute daily production schedules to achieve delivery commitments.
  • Utilize ERP system capabilities for production scheduling. Create and verify Bills-of-Materials for standard and custom products.
  • Communicate production lead times to all levels of the organization.
  • Schedule all stock and custom products based on form capacity, manpower availability and min/max inventory levels.
  • Periodically review Min/Max inventory levels and adjust based on sales history.
  • Coordinate the movement of stock inventory to the appropriate plant location or distribution center with Dispatch.
  • Identify potential material shortages and take appropriate action to minimize their effect.
  • Establish inventory cycle counting process for raw materials and finished goods inventories. Participate in the physical inventory process.
  • Lead weekly sales & operations planning meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of two years manufacturing experience, preferably in the precast concrete industry.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization.
  • Experience with change management initiatives related to processes and procedures to achieve desired results.
  • Customer focus; dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with MRP, production scheduling, inventory control.
  • Ability to plan work and successfully implement programs through the direction of others.
  • Ability to read and understand shop/engineering drawings.

Compensation

The hourly pay rate is $29-$35/hr
