A large South Bay professional services company is looking for a Tax Director to join their team. In this Tax Director role, the individual would be responsible for interacting with executives, renewing business licenses, transfer pricing documentation, and essentially building out and running the company's tax department. To be successful in this role, the Tax Director will need to be able to roll up their sleeves, embrace change, and come in and tackle competing priorities. What do you need for this Tax Director role?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 20+ years of tax experience
• Public accounting and/or CPA experience preferred
• Advanced Excel

• Develop and execute tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize liabilities
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws and regulations
• Conduct thorough reviews of state, city, and jurisdictional requirements
• Oversee compliance for all foreign-owned subsidiaries and international tax matters
• Direct, prepare, and review all tax filings
• Establish and maintain transfer pricing policies, working closely with advisors to ensure compliance
• Partner with the accounting team to provide guidance on tax-related issues and ensure alignment with financial operations
• Support tax planning and forecasting
• Prepare accurate and timely current and deferred tax provisions
• Lead tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities across jurisdictions
• Review tax-related footnotes in audited financial statements
• Act as the primary liaison for external auditors on all tax-related matters
• Develop and maintain a tax roll-forward schedule to support the financial statement audit process
• Stay current on tax legislation and proactively adapt internal processes and strategies to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory agencies
• Oversee sales and use tax compliance across multiple states and international jurisdictions
