Director Compute Chipset Product Manager
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Director Compute Chipset Product Manager to lead compute chipset products through the full lifecycle, focusing on the Windows on Snapdragon portfolio for laptops, notebooks, all-in-one devices, and related compute devices.
Overview
Qualcomm is a company of inventors advancing 5G technology and its real-world applications. This role sits within the Compute Chipset Product Management team in QCT's Product Management organization, responsible for synthesizing and prioritizing technical requirements and establishing a portfolio strategy and roadmap to maintain leadership in technology, product, and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead compute chipset product strategy from conception through end of life for PC/compute devices.
- Identify gaps in the PC market based on market, customer, technology, and ecosystem analyses to guide design discussions.
- Promote use of new technologies and industry trends to gain Snapdragon share in laptop/desktop/All-in-One and other compute categories.
- Direct design, modification, and evaluation of product phases, and own products through all lifecycle stages including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Collaborate on business cases and validate development of complex products to align with roadmap direction.
- Market new products and technologies through technical marketing opportunities and drive product launches.
- Prepare and deliver complex technical presentations on product roadmaps to customers.
- Translate customer feedback into roadmap adjustments and communicate changes to senior leadership.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration and delivery against agreed KPIs and specifications for new products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop product goals (performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules) and facilitate decision making across functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
- 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years - PC Processors / laptop Processors Product Management.
- In-depth experience in the PC/laptop semiconductor industry and ecosystem.
- Direct experience as PC silicon Product Manager interacting with customers, device makers, and ODMs.
- MBA is preferred.
