Job Details

Base pay range: $112,750.00/yr - $186,550.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Researching laws and preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
• Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions, examinations before trial, and examinations under oath; defending by trial or dispositive hearing, as applicable

Qualifications

• 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
• Juris Doctor degree
• Admission to the California Bar in good standing
• Must be licensed to practice law in California and maintain mandatory CLE requirements
• Travel required for trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings, and conferences
• Clear, concise, professional written documentation skills suitable for clients, co‑workers, and other organization members
• Strong organization, multi‑tasking, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information

Preferred Qualifications

• Civil litigation experience
• Insurance defense‑related litigation experience
• Professional written and verbal communication skills

Annual Salary

$112,750.00 - $186,550.00

The salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors, including scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, training, work location, and market considerations, are considered.
