Job Title: Integration and Test EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a full-time, salaried Field Service Representative (FSR) to join our team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the integration and testing of networked communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for the operation of podded communication systems.
• Serve as a technical liaison to supported military units/elements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans and procedures.
• Create configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems.
• Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documentation.
• Conduct systems and sub-systems testing.
• Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents.
• Install and configure Windows/Linux servers.
• Set up and maintain DNS/Exchange/Active Directory.
• Maintain virtual environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain network gear including switches, servers, and firewalls, and troubleshoot network-related problems.
• Capture and deploy system images.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience in testing, networking, or other IT-related fields.
• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) computer and radio systems.
• Working knowledge of routing, switching, protocols, VLANs, LAN, WAN, etc.
• High proficiency in Linux and Windows.
• High-level understanding of automation and implementation.
• US Citizenship with a minimum of an active Interim Secret clearance, and ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of network security devices (e.g. firewall, NGFW, IPS, IDS).
• Experience with event management systems (e.g. ISE, Splunk, SolarWinds).
• Familiarity with Tactical Data Links (e.g. CDL, TTNT, L-16, SADL, etc.).
• Live field testing experience with military communication systems is highly desired.
• Experience in automation, scripting, or development in Python or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments is highly desired.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00/yr.

At GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $100,000-$145,000, with a specific total compensation package to be developed based on the specific candidate's location/need for travel, shift, skills, and experience.
