Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Talent Connection Programs & Operations will play a pivotal role in optimizing and scaling talent acquisition initiatives across a fast‑paced, global production environment in our Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound studios. This role focuses on elevating the overall hiring experience for candidates and hiring leaders, leveraging best practices, and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our Recruiters and Talent Connection Teams in our global studios to consistently meet ambitious hiring targets. The Senior Manager will lead multiple complex projects with a global scope, ensuring seamless execution and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of global talent connection programs and operational initiatives.
  • Drive projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Talent Connection Team and Recruiters in a dynamic production environment.
  • Collaborate with various Disney global teams to align talent connection efforts with broader organizational goals and ensure a consistent global approach.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, key deliverables, and stakeholder communications for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
  • Develop and present executive summaries and status reports on program health, milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven programs and operations leadership reflecting the production excellence, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that defines our Lucasfilm Companies.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR project management, talent acquisition, or enterprise program delivery, with a strong focus on global initiatives, including 5+ years within the VFX or Feature Animation industries.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, global environment.
  • Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency and effectiveness within talent acquisition or HR functions.
  • Strong experience developing and executing pipeline building strategies and programs for creative talent within the VFX or Feature Animation industries.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and diverse geographical locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable plans and data‑driven solutions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and display flexibility and agility when faced with challenges or ambiguity.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (media, film, or communications preferred) or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $157,800.00 to $204,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
