Drafter/Designer role at POWER Engineers.

Power Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Underground Line Department in our Saint Louis, MO and San Diego, CA offices. The position will work with engineers and designers to develop high voltage underground transmission line construction packages. The candidate should be able to work in design teams, be self-motivated to perform assigned tasks, and take initiative to learn new skills. The candidate should be able to learn new software packages efficiently, and retain and apply on the job training. Duties may include: interpret survey drawings, detailing and creating plan and profile drawings, and creating construction detail drawings.

Responsibilities

Required Education/Experience

• Associate's Degree or equivalent technical education
• Candidate must have strong experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2018 or newer
• Willing and able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy

Desired Education/Experience

• Experience with creating alignments, profiles, surfaces and pipe networks in AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2018 or newer
• Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems
• Experience interpreting surveys
• Experience with MicroStation
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Background in mathematics

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $55,000- $83,000 per year

The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
