The Encinitas Union School District is seeking applicants for a Child Nutrition Services position - 40 hours per week to join the CNS team; Food Service Assistant 2 (5 hours/day) & Food Service Delivery Person (3 hours/day). The primary role of the Food Service Assistant 2 position will be assisting with food preparation and serving lunch to students. The primary role of the Food Services Delivery Person position includes loading, unloading and delivering food, supplies, materials and equipment for the food service program using a district vehicle. Please see job description attached. Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch) • Food Service Assistant 2; 6:00am - 8:15am • Food Service Delivery Person; 8:15am - 11:15am • Lunch; 11:15am - 11:45am • Food Service Assistant 2; 11:45am - 2:30pm Salary: • Food Service Assistant 2 (5 hours per day) - $19.42 to $25.05 per hour depending on experience • Food Service Delivery Person CNS (3 hours per day) - $23.81 to $30.64 per hour depending on experience The candidate selection process will consist of paper screening, district administered test, hands-on task and panel interview. Salary placement dependent upon experience; up to 6 years of work experience in the same or comparable classification is taken into consideration for salary placement. EUSD is located in North San Diego County along the coast. It serves nine (9) Kindergarten through sixth grade schools, and one (1) pre-school for students with special needs. The selection process will consist of paper screening, a district administered test, pre-interview reference checks, panel interview, and performance task. Applicants who are selected after a paper screening will be invited to take the District Competency Exam on Monday, January 12, 2026. Panel interviews will be scheduled for qualifying applicants on Thursday, January 15, 2026 - time TBD. Successful candidates will be required to pass fingerprint background check, physical and drug screen and provide negative Tuberculin Skin Test result prior to working in Encinitas Union School District. Fingerprinting and TB test at applicant's expense. Physical/drug screen paid by EUSD. Original Social Security Card and Drivers License required at the time of hire.
