Part-time Moving and Packing Team Member

Caring Transitions of San Diego is looking for a part-time moving and packing team member to join the team in our San Diego office. The moving and packing team member will assist with providing moving-related services (packing and unpacking, moves, cleanouts) offered by Caring Transitions to clients. Our company Caring Transition of San Diego helps make smooth and stress-free transitions for seniors from one living situation to another. We specialize in relocation, downsizing, and estate sales. Caring Transitions is a senior relocation, downsizing, and liquidation service organization dedicated to being the most trusted and compassionate national provider of these services to aging clients and their loved ones as they transition through various life stages, providing peace of mind. Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced mover/packer with 3+ years of professional experience to assist with smaller, personalized moves for senior clients. You'll work 210 times per month, helping pack, move, and settle belongings with care and empathy. This is an ideal role for someone who values meaningful work, enjoys flexible scheduling, and wants to make a difference in the lives of seniors.

Responsibilities:

• Carefully pack and wrap furniture, fragile items, and personal belongings.
• Safely load and unload items during moves, ensuring all items are handled with care.
• Assist with organizing and arranging items in the new location as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to senior clients and their families.
• Treat all items, especially sentimental belongings, with respect and compassion.
• Communicate professionally with the team and clients to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional moving experience (residential or commercial).
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a heart for working with seniors.
• Strong physical ability to lift and move items (50 lbs. or more).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Availability to work minimum of 23 times per month with flexibility for occasional scheduling needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18-$20 per hour

Schedule: 6-10 hour shift Monday to Saturday (weekends as needed)

Experience: Prior experience with professional moving or moving-related services: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to lift 20-75 pounds on a repetitive basis

Shift availability: Day Shift

Ability to Commute: San Diego, Chula Vista, National City, La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Lemon Grove, Imperial Beach, San Ysidro or as otherwise directed by the Owner
