Histology Lead Opportunity In San Diego, CA

The Histology Lead makes sure the histology lab runs smoothly while also meeting high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee Lab Work Handle tissue processing, cutting, staining, and making slides for research and diagnosis.
2. Lead the Team Get new employees up to speed and make sure everyone knows what theyre doing.
3. Improve Processes Update workflows, troubleshoot problems, and ensure top-notch quality.
4. Ensure Compliance Follow all safety and industry regulations (CAP, CLIA, etc.).
5. Keep Things Organized Manage specimens, maintain records, and properly handle hazardous materials.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors or Associates degree in science.
• Experience: At least 3 years in histology. No leadership experience required.
• Strong attention to detail, process improvement experience, and ability to train others.
• Bonus: Certification (HT or HTL from ASCP) and experience with digital pathology are a plus.
