Overview:

Join our team in San Diego, CA, a vibrant city known for its beautiful beaches and innovative tech scene. You will play a key part in developing, deploying, and supporting the systems that power cutting-edge golf technology solutions, including simulation studios, range systems, and enterprise deployments. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of sports and technology. This position reports to the Electrical Engineer Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements and specifications for the development of board schematics and layout.
• Participate in design review meetings for both schematic and layout. Collaborate with the Systems Engineer to perform research and hardware design on new boards and electrical engineering in general.
• Perform detailed analysis on electronic components like power semiconductors, PCBs, and magnetics, and provide root cause analysis for electrical performance issues and system-level evaluation. This also includes testing for compliance.
• Incorporate sustainability principles across the entire product lifecycle from initial concept to end-of-life with particular emphasis on product longevity and recyclability.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, and other engineering disciplines, to integrate sustainability goals into projects and provide technical guidance on sustainable practices.
• Assist with research tests and experiments that could involve handling test and measurement equipment.
• Create documentation for PCB and PCA release. Follow release procedures and serve as a liaison between Engineering and Production.
• Once PCBs and PCAs are manufactured, assist in validating the design by bringing the board up and testing components and modules against the design and specification.

Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 5 years' experience with PCB design, schematic capture, board layout, and board bring-up (Altium preferred)
• Understanding of Firmware/Software as it relates to electronic hardware.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, with strong communication skills.
