CNC Machinists Needed In San Diego

Shift: 1st shift and 2nd shifts available

Pay: up to $38/hr

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will produce machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines. Ability to perform edits on the machine is a plus as well.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery to ensure the equipment is in good working order before start-up.
• Conduct all required setup, adjusting offsets to close-tolerance specifications.
• Interpret and execute written instructions from process travelers, routers, and work instructions.
• Perform in-process inspection of products to ensure specifications and quality requirements are met.
• Perform routine machine maintenance as required.
• Follow safety protocols.
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns to the supervisor or management immediately.
• Keep all work areas clean and organized.
• Hold self to a high standard of quality and workmanship.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years' experience operating CNC machines
• Ability to set up machines and operate machines independently.
• Troubleshooting skills for machinery and making small repairs.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrammed instructions.
• Proficiency in using metrology hand-tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial-indicators.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Poway, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
