Leidos Defense Systems Sector/Manufacturing offers a comprehensive portfolio of systems, solutions, and services across various domains including land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for global customers. Our solutions for Defense encompass mission IT, large intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence operations support. We tackle the world's most challenging security tasks for clients with critical missions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical and structural assembly of aerospace components following work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment for assembly and installation of parts and components.
  • Perform inspections of both in-process and completed assemblies to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare and apply surface coatings (e.g., primers, sealants) according to engineering documents and process specifications.
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends to meet production schedules.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
  • Proficient with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP or shop floor systems.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts as necessary.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or vocational training in manufacturing, aerospace, or mechanical technology.
  • Experience with aerospace coatings, including surface preparation and application of primers/sealants.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or NADCAP quality standards.
  • Certifications in aerospace manufacturing or coatings (e.g., NACE, SSPC, AWS) are a plus.
  • Prior experience in a cleanroom or high-reliability manufacturing setting.
  • Current and active DoD Secret clearance.

Pay Range: $41,600.00 - $75,200.00
