Job Summary
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the daily monitoring and maintenance of accurate inventory levels between the Bumble Bee system and distribution center (DC) warehouse management system (WMS) for both the dry and frozen business. The Inventory Analyst will also provide a supporting role for Supply Chain to include financial reporting, DC invoicing, operations support, manual processing of shipping paperwork, and assistance with special projects as necessary.
Key Responsibilities concerning both shelf stable and frozen warehousing:
- Track and process electronic data interchange (EDI) errors received daily from our 3rd party DC partners
- Continuous review of product inventories between Bumble Bee ERP system (SAP) and DC WMS systems at the item, batch code and quantity level
- Monthly reconciliation of SAP inventory to DC book inventory to resolve inventory discrepancies and fix issues as needed
- Process over, short and damage reports (OS&D) provided by 3PL partners identifying discrepancies at inbound
- Independently act as liaison with distribution center contacts and internal supply chain departments to research and resolve inventory issues
- Manually post goods issue (PGI) shipments in SAP from vendors not connected to EDI
- Perform monthly DC product rotation audits and conduct DC follow up on potential miss-rotated products
- Provide support on aging and hold product disposition/reporting
- Assign general ledger coding of DC invoices for processing in SAP's Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) system
- Maintain DC invoice spreadsheet and assist with monthly accruals
- Audit DC invoices, verifying and matching DC supporting documentation to SAP data for accuracy
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and reduce costs
- Work with the team to automate manual tasks and leverage technology to optimize workflows
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in data science, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of logistics operations, including freight, warehousing, imports, and transportation is a plus
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus
- Experience with SAP a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.

The compensation for this role includes base salary and eligibility for an annual bonus based on company performance. All incentive plans are subject to change.
The expected pay range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 annually.
