Description:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead system verification, validation planning, and execution, including reliability testing and analysis.
  • Manage the verification and traceability of product requirements and specifications for new hardware and software products.
  • Interact with electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers to achieve verification goals.
  • Drive product validation planning and execution.
  • Analyze and report on reliability and durability verification activities.
  • Act as a leader of technical excellence and participate as an agent for continuous improvement within the Systems Engineering function.
  • Identify tasks/resources to ensure that critical project milestones are met and systems integration activities are completed.
  • Apply Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) best practices.
  • Utilize cross-functional knowledge to resolve technical challenges and retire technical risks for new product introduction.

Experience Required

  • At least 5 years of related work experience in systems engineering, medical device development, or a similar field.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering best practices and requirements management.
  • Proficient knowledge of Reliability & Verification Engineering, including statistical analysis and systems integration.
  • Familiar with systems integration and testing, Project Management, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis.
  • Experience with Quanterion's 217Plus:2015, Notice 1 Reliability Prediction Calculator or Sherlock (Ansys) is desirable.
  • LabView and test automation experience is desirable.

Skills & Certifications

  • Intimate knowledge of the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Strong technical background in Systems Engineering, reliability engineering, and product verification.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Proficient in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines.
  • Ability to use and understand CAD tools (OrCad, Solidworks, Cadence) is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong writing skills.

Eligibilities & qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of related work experience (combination of work experience and advanced degrees).
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and Reliability Engineering.
