About the Role

The Front of House Manager is the heartbeat of the guest experience. Youll oversee all dining room operations-from greeting guests to processing payments-ensuring every moment of service is smooth, warm, and memorable. This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic team development to elevate service quality, efficiency, and overall restaurant performance.

What Youll Do

Service Excellence & Experience Control
  • Lead daily FOH operations, ensuring all greeting, ordering, and service interactions meet brand standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, atmosphere, table settings, and readiness of all FOH equipment.
  • Optimize staffing levels to ensure quick service, minimal wait times, and high table turnover throughout the day.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead all FOH recruiting, onboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Conduct ongoing training in service etiquette, communication, hospitality, and conflict resolution.
  • Model professionalism and inspire your team by setting the standard for accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.

Guest Relations & Issue Resolution
  • Actively engage with guests, collect real-time feedback, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Review online feedback (Google, Yelp, etc.) to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide exceptional, personalised service to VIPs and special guests, anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations.

Operational Coordination & Support
  • Partner closely with the kitchen leadership team to streamline order flow and maintain excellent service timing.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory and ordering FOH supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Support the General Manager with insights based on sales, labor trends, and FOH performance data.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by upper management.

What Were Looking For

1+ year of Front of House Manager experience in a chain or high-volume restaurant environment
Strong leadership skills with experience in recruiting, coaching, and motivating teams
Solid understanding of U.S. restaurant regulations, food safety standards, and labor requirements
Fluent English; Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred
Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
High school diploma or above (hospitality or related studies a plus)
Outstanding communication skills, calm under pressure, and strong problem-solving ability

Interview Process

Three stages:
  1. HR Screening
  2. Operations Leader Interview
  3. Senior Management Interview

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and reach for products and supplies
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments (cold storage to hot kitchen areas)
  • Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
