Museum Front Desk Volunteers are often the first people our visitors meet, and they play a key role in creating a positive museum experience. Volunteers assist at the admissions desk by selling tickets, checking in guests, and offering a warm welcome. They answer questions aboutthe Museum, its exhibits, and the day's events, as well as provide information about the Gaslamp Quarter, nearby dining, and transportation.
Front Desk Volunteers also distribute brochures and audio tours, recommend highlights to see during a visit, assist with basic data entry, and process admission, gift shop, and membership transactions. Sharing information about museum memberships and helping guests sign up or renew is an important part of this role.
