Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Description:

Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will join the Supply Chain team under the direction of the Associate Director, Logistics & Distribution and will be responsible for shipping and receiving activities and inventory management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process orders, package, and ship temperature-sensitive products (domestic and international)(20%)
  • Handle receiving of inventory, R&D parts, and Returns(20%)
  • Conduct cycle counting, inventory control and material management tasks(15%)
  • Deliver and fulfill internal company orders(15%)
  • Coordinate pickups with freight companies including preparing necessary documentation(10%)
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness(5%)
  • Revise, and review SOPs and other quality documents as needed and manage and maintain quality records(2.5%)
  • Attend and lead meetings as required(2.5%)
  • Assist Manufacturing in work order completion, kitting, and final packaging as needed (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned(5%)
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in the life sciences industry a plus
  • Experience working with ERP systems
Education, Certifications, Licenses
  • Education (Level and field of study) required/ preferred: Minimum of high school diploma required.
  • Years relevant/ total work experience: 1- 3 years warehouse / inventory-related experience required.
  • Certifications required/ preferred: N/A
Leadership Responsibility (Direct/ Indirect): N/A

  • Minimal travel time expected
  • Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Sit and stand for prolonged periods
  • Repeating motions that may include the hands, wrists and/or fingers
