Overview:
Stillwater Post-Acute is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Business Office Manager to support the financial and administrative operations of the business office. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate billing, timely collections, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience is required as the position involves direct handling of Medi-Cal applications, health plan billing, and resident payment coordination.
You will work closely with the Business Office Manager and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent service for residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Medicare/Medi-Cal/private pay/managed care billing
Process Medi-Cal applications and redeterminations
Collect payments and resolve claim issues
Post charges, prepare statements, and join Triple Check
Support admissions and verify payer sources
Maintain census and resident records; ensure HIPAA compliance
Coordinate with residents, families, insurers, vendors, and clinical staff
Obtain missing documentation and produce reports
Participate in meetings and assist the Business Office Manager
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Understanding of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private insurance billing processes
Experience in collecting co-pays and Share of Cost
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Familiarity with revenue cycle management and claims processing
Experience generating financial or statistical reports
Schedule: Full-Time - 8:00AM to 04:30PM
Pay Range: $25/hr -$26/hr (Depending on experience)
