Patient Care Coordinator – Facial Plastic Surgery Practice

We are seeking an organized, motivated, and personable Patient Care Coordinator to join our new boutique, luxury facial plastic surgery practice in San Diego, CA (based in Sorrento Valley). As the first point of contact for our patients, this individual will serve as a trusted liaison between each patient and the surgeon, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and cared for at every step of their aesthetic journey. The ideal candidate is warm, articulate, and confident in communication and sales, and looking for a long-term role with meaningful opportunities for career growth. This role requires a high level of comfort with patient-facing sales conversations, including guiding patients through surgical treatment plans, pricing, and scheduling, as well as strong technological proficiency in managing email correspondence, phone communications, practice software, and social media platforms to support both patient care and practice growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between physician and prospective and existing patients.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general administrative support.
  • Provide education and information on surgeries and non-surgical treatments.
  • Support patients with scheduling, financing discussions, payments, and treatment coordination.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, accurate medical records, documentation, and scheduling within the practice management system.
  • Welcome patients at front desk, check in and check out
  • Escort patients to the exam room, with cleaning and organization of room
  • Assist the physician with in office procedures
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, manage office supplies inventory, and oversee vendor management to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Achieve performance goals related to consultation conversions and patient satisfaction.
  • Support practice management and building of a new practice.
  • Support the social media of the practice to build patient leads, assisting with content creating and editing.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, or patient coordination is highly preferred.
  • Proven office management and medical assisting experience within a medical or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork capabilities, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech savvy with ability to navigate social media, Microsoft outlook, and medical software
  • Growth mindset and goal oriented.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Experience in cosmetic surgery and aesthetics is a plus.
  • Ability to do blood draws and/or IV's is a plus.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25 to 29 per hour with performance-based bonuses

Expected hours: 35 to 40 per week
