Litigation Docketing Specialist

Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable law firm to recruit an experienced litigation docketing specialist. This full time position is ideal for someone with strong California litigation experience and at least two years of docketing work in a law firm setting. The role requiresexceptional attention to detail, strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, and the ability to manage time sensitive deadlines across multiple practice areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming filings, orders, notices, and correspondence to determine required docket entries
  • Enter and maintain accurate docket information for California state and federal courts
  • Monitor, calculate, and track deadlines in accordance with California court rules and firm procedures
  • Communicate upcoming deadlines and scheduling updates to attorneys and staff
  • Work closely with litigation teams to ensure all filings and responses are completed on time
  • Research court rules and procedure changes to maintain compliance
  • Generate docket reports and provide updates to attorneys as requested
  • Assist with quality control and verification of docket entries
  • Maintain organized electronic records and adhere to firm wide docketing standards
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules and filing procedures
  • Experience with docketing software and legal calendar systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with attorneys and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management tools
  • Professionalism, reliability, and commitment to maintaining accurate legal records

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
