Compassionate Caregiver Needed In Ocean Beach Area

We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable caregiver to assist a client in the Ocean Beach area. Applicants must live within a 5-mile radius and be comfortable providing hands-on care and support in a home setting.

Position Overview

This role involves assisting with daily mobility, personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The ideal candidate is attentive, patient, and experienced in supporting individuals with mobility challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with walking, transfers, and general mobility (including use of walker and gait belt)
• Provide toileting assistance and maintain cleanliness of equipment
• Support with personal hygiene, grooming, and occasional shower assistance
• Assist with meal preparation (breakfast and light lunch prep)
• Provide medication reminders (client self-administers)
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dusting, bathroom upkeep, dishes)
• Offer companionship and engagement (games, reading, TV assistance)
• Accompany client on occasional short outings (23 hours)

Requirements

• Must be dependable and attentive to safety (high fall-risk environment)
• Prior caregiving experience preferred
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers
• Able to follow care instructions and maintain a clean environment
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate demeanor
