Courier Position

Are you someone who enjoys being out in the field, staying active, and being a trusted point of contact for clients? First Legal is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Courier to support our San Diego operations. In this role, you'll play a critical part in the legal processsafely and accurately transporting documents, filing at local courthouses, and supporting time-sensitive service requests throughout San Diego County and surrounding areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver legal documents, mail, packages, and boxes to businesses, residences, and courthouses
• File documents at County Courthouses and retrieve copies of official records
• Complete process serving requests as assigned
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
• Communicate proactively with your Supervisor regarding issues, delays, or concerns
• Follow dispatch instructions while prioritizing accuracy and timeliness
• Represent First Legal professionally at all times while on the road

Job Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (2 points or fewer)
• Reliable personal vehicle (truck, van, or large SUV a plus)
• Valid auto insurance (verified quarterly)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Prior courier or professional driving experience
• 5+ years of general work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Courteous driving habits and strict adherence to traffic laws
• High school diploma or GED

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs
• Use of a dolly for larger deliveries as needed
• Willingness to work occasional overtime

Schedule/Location

• Location: San Diego, CA
• Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:30 PM
• Budgeted Hours: 40 hours per week, plus occasional overtime
• Pay: $20$22 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement
