You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER, N7 of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND.

Duties
  • You will ensure the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to subordinate analyst in the Branch and integrated into the Division strategies, goals, objectives, performance plans, products, and services.
  • You will issue assignments to subordinate analysts for general work tasks and special projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines/timeframes for completion.
  • You will initiate plans for the control of commitment and obligation of funds and produces internal controls to monitor funds usage.
  • You will review and interpret guidance received from other authorities for the assigned budget and develop implementing guidance for Naval Special Warfare resource managers.
  • You will analyze and interpret the impact of new legislation on the administrative expense portion of the annual budget.
  • You will Utilize the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) to manage, (i.e., funds distribution, reconciliation, input financial transactions, document preparation, reporting) financial resources in the daily work environment.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying advanced financial management skills towards budget formulation, execution, and analysis; developing and revising financial processes, resolving complex fiscal issues, and providing expert budgetary guidance; and possessing a strong understanding of Naval Special Warfare Command operations to ensure programs are effectively funded.
