Main Duties & Responsibilities

5 AXIS CNC LASER OPERATOR "A"

SUMMARY
This occupation requires skills and performance in 5 axis laser cutting, knowledge of CNC Machines and be familiar with NC programming. This occupation requires moderate physical exertion, including lifting, bending, and considerable time standing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Setup fixtures, vises, and rotary tables. Measurements of fabricated parts.
• Knowledge of mathematical tasks and trigonometry.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
• Can identify and communicate to management machine and quality issues as they arise.

On-Site: This role is required to be on-site 3 days at the El Cajon, CA location.

Shift: Friday - Sunday, 5AM - 530PM. Must be able to train on 1st shift Monday - Thursday, 6AM - 4:30PM.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three (3) years experience setting up and operating 5 axis CNC Lasers and have knowledge of metal alloys.

• Interpret dimensions and tolerances in both metric and inch.
• Pick up part and fixture locations to set up cutting planes. Inspect parts to blueprint requirements using appropriate measuring tools.
• Using dial calipers, micrometers, height gauge precision protractor and indicators.
• Ability to solve right triangles on part measurements.
• Be willing to work at assigned jobs in or out of the machine shop department.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $28-32.
