Position: Receptionist
Location: Onsite in UTC/La Jolla area
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24-$26/hour, DOE
Employment Type: Temporary (through end of June)
Overview:
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to support the day-to-day operations of a commercial office environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, and service providers, while providing administrative support to the on-site operations team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the initial point of contact, handling incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
Respond to customer service requests and escalate items as appropriate
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and general correspondence
Ensure phone and voicemail systems are functioning properly
Issue and deactivate access cards and coordinate key requests
Maintain vendor key sign-in/out logs
Keep the front office and common areas presentable at all times
Order and maintain office and kitchen supplies; assist with purchase orders as needed
Create and distribute general notices and communications
Track and follow up on service requests to ensure timely resolution
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support daily operations
Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
Assist with conference room scheduling
Support tenant move-ins and move-outs
Update internal databases, spreadsheets, and directories
Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
Proficiency in Google Suite required; experience with Microsoft Office is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in an onsite office environment
