Shift: Wednesday - Sunday 5:00pm - 1:30am

General Responsibilities:

Performs the day-to-day activities of buffing, waxing, carpet cleaning and other cleaning task in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations toassure that the facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

Specific Duties / Essential Functions:

• Stripping, Waxing, Buffing for office buildings, laboratories, and/or related areas.
• Before end of shift, recheck all areas to ensure proper order, cleanliness, and completion of waste disposal.
• Ability to work without normal supervision.
• Auto scrubbing floors
• Use of high-performance machinery
• Extract carpet
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily schedules.
• Spot carpets
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
• Always observe safety precautions, use safety signs “wet floor”, “caution” and any others
• Reports all incidents, accidents, hazardous conditions, or equipment to supervisors immediately.
• Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals
• Always wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
• Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift.

Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 years' experience cleaning, maintaining, and restoring floor surfaces.
• 2-3 years' experience cleaning carpets using methods such as shampooing, bonneting, or applying dry cleaning chemicals.
• 1-2 years' experience evening the gloss, polish, or sealant coating on surfaces with a cloth or specialized buffing tool.
• High school or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Open availability: Overtime work and schedule adjustments may be needed/necessary. Holiday work may also be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lb. floor machine, carry 12 lb. backpack vacuum as needed.

Compliance Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
