General Manager - Precious Metals Operations

Description:

We are partnering with an established, high-volume precious metals operation in San Diego that works directly with the public, investors, and dealers to buy and sell gold, silver, coins, and bullion. The business operates at a refinery level, offering a streamlined, direct-to-market model with consistent inbound demand.

This role is an opportunity for a hands-on leader to oversee daily operations, drive revenue performance, and manage a client-facing team in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the San Diego office
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for client transactions and evaluations
  • Drive revenue growth through strong in-person client engagement and closing strategies
  • Ensure a high level of customer trust, transparency, and service throughout the transaction process
  • Monitor precious metals pricing and ensure offers align with market conditions
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, compliance, and security protocols
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and consistency
  • Handle escalated client situations and high-value transactions
What We Are Looking For:
  • Proven leadership experience in sales, retail, trading, or a high-value transaction environment
  • Strong ability to drive performance and accountability within a team
  • Comfortable operating in a client-facing, in-person setting
  • Solid business judgment and ability to make decisions in real time
  • High attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Experience in precious metals, jewelry, commodities, or financial services is a plus but not required

Compensation:
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives. Total compensation aligned with experience and leadership scope.
Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday, 8:45am - 5:15pm. Onsite role based in San Diego.
