Technical Laboratory Manager

Description:

White Labs is hiring a Technical Laboratory Manager (Full-Time in Asheville, NC) to lead the scientific and technical foundation of our business, spanning quality systems, microbiology, and product development. This is not a traditional lab role. We're looking for someone who can connect science, brewing, and real-world application to help turn ideas into scalable, high-quality products.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical oversight across quality systems, microbiology, and product development

  • Drive new product development from concept through validation and operational readiness

  • Evaluate new market opportunities from a technical and regulatory standpoint

  • Establish scientific standards, SOPs, and quality frameworks

  • Partner with operations to ensure products scale effectively

  • Serve as a technical leader in fermentation science and microbiology

What You Bring

  • Background in microbiology, fermentation science, food science, or similar

  • Experience in brewing, beverage, or fermentation environments (or strong familiarity)

  • Product or process development experience
  • Ability to lead across teams and translate science into action

You'll help define how science turns into products, and how those products scale. If you enjoy building systems, solving real problems, and working at the intersection of science and operations, this role is for you.
