Job Title

This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to patrons entering and exiting the San Diego County Fair. Key duties include but not limited to cart transportation for ADA guests and assisting patrons from their vehicles to the nearest entrance gate, as well as transporting patrons from the gates back to their vehicles, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and Inspects cart to ensure cart is clean, completely charged or fueled, maintained, and functioning properly and reports problems to supervisor immediately.
• Greets guests with a friendly smile and provides prompt and courteous customer service.
• Provides transport service in a comfortable, safe, and timely manner.
• Consults patrons and gets approval from patrons before loading, securing, transporting, unloading, and moving their property on or off the cart.
• Drives cart in a safe and prudent manner, plugs in cart or refuels cart after peak use, and park cart neatly in space provided.
• Complies with all safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Ensures all required certifications and driver's license are valid at all times.
• Secure carts at the end of each night.
• Promotes the District's F.A.I.R. values by creating a quality guest experience for both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, communications skills, and driving skills.
• Good judgement and professionalism.
• Possesses a valid driver's license.
• Certification required (training will be provided).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

• Drives and sits for sustained periods.
• Moves objects up to 50 pounds.
• Involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk that require following safety precautions.
• Works outdoors and is exposed to weather conditions, dust, dirt, and exhaust fumes.
• Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
