Our client is seeking a dynamic sales leader to drive growth across a key Western territory, with a strong emphasis on California and additional reach into surrounding states. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening long-term partnerships with both customers and distribution channels.

This is a consultative, solutions-oriented role focused on selling technically sophisticated offerings. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex sales cyclesfrom initial engagement through contract execution and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and expand a robust pipeline by developing new business and deepening relationships with existing accounts.
  • Build trusted partnerships with key decision-makers and influencers through a value-based, consultative sales approach.
  • Conduct on-site client engagements, delivering tailored solutions that address complex operational challenges.
  • Lead the sale of comprehensive, turnkey solutions and related technologies.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive sustained revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that clearly articulate ROI and business impact.
  • Manage the full sales lifecyclefrom prospecting and qualification through negotiation, award, and implementation.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to position solutions effectively.
  • Strengthen and expand partnerships to elevate brand visibility and uncover new opportunities.
  • Leverage CRM tools and sales systems to maintain an organized, proactive, and high-performing pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in consultative sales, ideally within a technical or engineered solutions environment.
  • Experience working with municipal or utility-based customers and navigating complex buying processes.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure systems and operational environments is highly valued.
  • Established relationships within relevant sectors are a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels.
  • Willingness to be hands-on in understanding product applications and operational use cases.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5065% within the assigned territory.
  • Highly motivated, relationship-driven, and skilled at managing long, complex sales cycles.
  • A customer-first mindset with the ability to deliver outstanding service and long-term value.
