Career And Technical Education (Cte) Culinary Arts Teachers

We are seeking passionate and dynamic Career And Technical Education (Cte) Culinary Arts teachers to be considered for our applicant pool. Qualified candidates will bring hands-on industry experience in culinary arts, hospitality, or a related field, along with a strong commitment to engaging students through real-world, practical learning. Requirements / Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid California Cte credential in Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation
  • OR

    Qualify for a Cte Credential Through Experience/Coursework:

    • 3 years of industry experience (paid or unpaid) at least 1 year must be hands-on
    • Some of that experience must be recent (1 year in the last 5 years, or 2 years in the last 10 years)
    • Up to 2 years of the requirement can be met through relevant coursework (24 semester units = 1 year)
    • Advanced industry certification can count for 1 year
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Salary

$71,571 to $103,136 (To start yearly based on full-time assignment. Part-time assignments will be prorated)

  • Pay dependent on experience
    • Candidates with two or more years of full-time K-12 public school experience start on step 3. (This is the maximum starting step)

Pool - This recruitment is for a candidate pool and will be used to fill current or future opportunities at the middle or high school level, including both part-time and full-time positions.
