Clinical Integration Specialist (SW Region)

  2026-04-18     KLOwen Ortho     San Diego,CA
Description:

KLOwen Ortho is a privately held, venture-backed technology company headquartered in North Texas. Founded in 2019, KLOwen provides a complete, fully custom orthodontic solution that enables orthodontists to treat patients with fewer visits, in less time, with greater precision and clinical outcomes. Our workflow begins with a digital image of the patient's teeth, simulated by KLOwen-trained technicians, using proprietary software in collaboration with the practice. Once an ideal smile is digitally designed, KLOwen 3D prints a custom indirect bonding tray that transfers precisely placed brackets to the patient's mouth-delivering a superior, technique-driven patient experience that demands precise, consistent chairside execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Clinical Integration Specialist (CIS) is KLOwen's clinical field operator - the execution and adoption engine that operationalizes the RAE's business plan at the practice level. This is not an advisory role. The CIS is accountable for results: practices fully integrated, protocols embedded, staff proficient, and adoption sustained. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:

Chairside Training & Clinical Execution

  • Deliver hands-on, protocol-specific clinical training directly
  • Demonstrate KLOwen's indirect bonding protocols with precision and clinical authority, coaching staff in real time on technique, sequencing, materials handling, and patient management
  • Train clinical staff to understand not just the steps of the protocol, but the clinical rationale - the 'why' behind precision placement, bonding technique, and quality standards
  • Certify practice staff to competency benchmarks, ensuring that independence is earned and documented before the hands-on training relationship transitions
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex clinical situations, resistant learners, or protocol challenges

Clinical Trainer Deployment & Quality Oversight

  • Coordinate & deploy Clinical Trainers as regional volume and account demand grow - extending capacity without diluting the quality of practice experience
  • Brief trainers thoroughly before each engagement: integration stage, practice culture, staff skill profile, protocol focus areas, & any known sensitivities or risks
  • Observe trainer-led sessions, where possible, provide structured debrief feedback, & hold contract trainers accountable to KLOwen's clinical & professional standards

Clinical Integration Planning & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end integration journey for each assigned account - from go-live activation through full protocol adoption and long-term performance sustainability
  • Translate the RAE's account strategy & business plan into a structured, milestone-driven clinical integration plan with clear timelines, resource allocation, & success criteria
  • Execute on-site & virtual practice engagements with consulting-grade preparation: pre-visit diagnosis, structured agenda, documented outcomes, & defined next steps
  • Identify & resolve clinical, operational, & behavioral barriers to adoption before they become retention risks - proactively, not reactively

RAE Partnership & Commercial Alignment

  • Partner directly with RAE as a co-owner of account health - bringing clinical execution authority to the commercial partnership
  • Participate actively in account planning, reviews, & at-risk discussions - contributing clinical adoption data, practice insights, & intervention recommendations that sharpen the RAE's strategy
  • Provide the RAE with timely, structured intelligence from the field: what is working, what is breaking down, what practices are at risk, & what the CIS is doing to solve it

Practice Consulting & Change Leadership

  • Operate as a trusted clinical advisor to orthodontists, office managers, & lead assistants - earning influence through expertise, reliability, & demonstrated results
  • Lead change at the practice level: diagnose behavioral, cultural, & structural barriers to adoption & design sequenced interventions that produce durable habit change
  • Facilitate alignment between clinical staff, operational leadership, & the doctor around KLOwen's protocols & the 'why' behind them - making the case for precision as a patient experience standard

Performance Analytics & Portfolio Intelligence

  • Maintain data-driven account profiles for all assigned practices, including adoption milestones, utilization trends, trainer performance, & churn risk indicators
  • Use adoption metrics, CSAT signals, & clinical outcome data to prioritize interventions & allocate trainer resources across the portfolio
  • Track, document, & report on integration outcomes, escalation trends, trainer performance, & engagement quality

Clinical Standards & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as a steward of KLOwen's clinical protocols - ensuring every practice engagement, trainer deployment, & integration milestone upholds the precision & quality standards the patient experience demands
  • Contribute to the development & refinement of clinical training materials, integration frameworks, & best-practice documentation - translating field learning into scalable resources
  • Collaborate with internal clinical, product, & operations teams to surface practice-level feedback that continuously improves KLOwen's protocols, tools, & enablement approach

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical, field-consulting, or practice-facing healthcare role - with demonstrated ownership of outcomes
  • Proven experience leading or coordinating others in a clinical or training capacity - with evidence of team performance improvement under their oversight
  • Deep understanding of orthodontic clinical workflows, preferably including direct chairside or assisting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sustained behavior change at the practice level - not just deliver training content
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships across clinical & operational functions
  • Strong data literacy: ability to interpret adoption metrics, identify risk patterns, & translate insights into actionable field strategy
  • Exceptional consultative communication skills - written, verbal, & facilitative - with the ability to engage credibly from clinical staff to orthodontist to business owner
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments while maintaining portfolio-wide discipline & follow-through
  • Willingness & ability to travel 50-85%
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, business, education, or related field (preferred)
  • Direct experience with indirect bonding techniques & KLOwen-style custom ortho workflows (preferred)
  • Background in customer success, field consulting, or account management within a growth-stage healthcare, medical device company, or similarly regulated environment (preferred)
  • Experience with instructional design, clinical education program development, or adult learning frameworks (preferred)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, adoption tracking platforms, & field reporting systems (preferred)
  • High emotional intelligence & communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written & verbal skills

The ideal applicant will be self-motivated & driven to better themselves and the company, including willingness & flexibility to provide expertise in other areas outside the scope of this job as the needs arise in a growing company.
