Our San Diego, CA location is seeking a Sr Principal Production Planner & Scheduler for 1st shift to join our team. This role is distinguished from a standard planning position by its elevated scope, including greater ownership of complex programs, strategic execution, cross-functional coordination and leadership in resolving high impact planning challenges. Responsibilities are expected to be performed at an advanced/mastery level, demonstrating expert knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to independently lead complex planning activities.
Analyzes all scheduling reports including capacity base on work breakdown schedule; material requirements list and production plans for work centers. An understanding of how a Bill of Materials is developed and managed through the product life cycle, including identifying make and buy parts and revision control of parts. Must understand & execute material requirements planning (MRP), capacity planning and other advanced material planning needs. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability and production problems to ensure that personnel/equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed; confirms material supply and demands.
Primary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
