A company is looking for a CardioThoracic/Vascular Surgery Coder PRN.Key ResponsibilitiesCode inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ED records, Home Health & Hospice records, and professional fee servicesReview patients' medical records and assign appropriate codes for financial reimbursement and researchMaintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accountsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust have one of the following coding certifications at the time of hire: CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or RHIT/RHIAAchievement of one of the coding credentials is required within one year of hireThree to five years of experience as a coder is required
