Orphaned Objects is the Center's very own premier resale shop. We actively work with wonderful donors and partners here in San Diego to provide a quality selection of clothing, furniture, and specialty items for re-sale. All proceeds are put back into our mission to help save the lives of animals every day!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS FOR RESALE SHOP SALES ASSOCIATE:
The Resale Shop Sales Associate will maximize revenues through use of approved marketing and display techniques, appropriate pricing practices and excellent customer service. Will complete daily assignment tasks, work alongside volunteers to ensure a positive customer experience, open and close the store independently and handle all daily deposit activities. Prior key holding experience preferred, which includes: counting opening and closing cash, daily deposit and change orders. Will maintain the front end cash wrap which includes, cashiering, keeping the cash wrap organized, and filled with necessary items. Ensure shop is kept neat, clean and orderly with merchandise aesthetically displayed and provide exceptional customer service to all donors and shoppers.
As a Sales Associate you will routinely interact with donors and customers of Orphaned Objects, therefore your commitment to providing an excellent customer service experience is a requirement of the role.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is a Smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in any HWAC building or vehicle.
As this position may require occasional driving duties, employee must possess a valid Driver's License provide a recent DMV Driving Record Report to be kept on file, as well as proof of insurance.
